Senior Battery Engineer
Location: Paris
Contract: 6-Month Contract (Renewable)
Start Date: ASAP

Key Responsibilities

• Design and optimise hybrid energy systems, integrating renewables, battery storage (BESS), and grid flexibility solutions
• Support a range of development studies and live projects across multiple geographies and phases
• Contribute to the delivery and optimisation of Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects
• Perform technical and economic analyses to support key investment and design decisions
• Provide input into M&A and asset evaluation activities where required
• Support the qualification, selection, and validation of equipment and suppliers
• Contribute to the development and improvement of technical standards and design methodologies (including safety and layout considerations)
• Provide technical support during key project milestones and, where required, into operations
• Work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and project delivery
• Contribute to knowledge sharing, training, and continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in battery energy storage systems (BESS) and hybrid energy systems
• Strong background in renewable energy, power systems, or electrical engineering
• Experience working across multiple stages of the project lifecycle
• Good understanding of techno-economic assessment of energy projects
• Exposure to grid integration, flexibility mechanisms, and/or hydrogen systems is advantageous
• Familiarity with technical standards, equipment qualification, and safety design
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary, international teams
