NES Fircroft are supporting our valued client, a global EPC company, who are recruiting a Buyer to join their Perth office for an initial 12-month contract.

Are you an experienced Buyer ready to hit the ground running in a fast-paced, high-impact environment? We are seeking a resourceful and proactive Buyer to manage procurement activities across two exciting and distinctly different projects based in Perth. This is a unique opportunity to play an important role in supporting both an onshore hydrogen project moving into precommissioning and commissioning phases, and an offshore gas project entering its hook-up stage.

As Buyer, you will efficiently balance competing priorities, manage purchase functions, and respond to urgent material requests to ensure projects stay on track and on budget. You will be integral to sourcing and delivering the right materials and equipment at the right time, helping two dynamic teams overcome challenges from fast schedules to technical rectifications. Reporting to senior procurement personnel, you’ll join a collaborative team environment where your contributions will make a difference.

Required Skills
  • 3-5 years’ experience in a Buyer role with proven procurement management abilities
  • Ability to prioritize effectively across multiple projects and shifting deadlines
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills to handle supplier inquiries and urgent requests
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced and dynamic environments, including offshore project contexts
  • Proficient in managing purchase orders, supplier relationships, and supply chain logistics
Nice to Have Skills
  • Experience supporting large-scale energy or infrastructure projects, particularly in oil, gas, or hydrogen sectors
  • Familiarity with precommissioning and commissioning procurement requirements
  • Knowledge of offshore logistics and time-critical material delivery protocols
  • Strong problem-solving skills to manage rectifications and unexpected supply challenges
Preferred Education and Experience
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Supply Chain, Business, or related field preferred
  • Prior experience working in multi-project procurement roles or within complex project teams
Other Requirements
  • Ability to manage time-critical deliveries for offshore operations while maintaining attention to detail
  • Contract duration is 12 months, supporting projects through key stages.
