Civil / Structural / Marine Engineering Specialist
Job Purpose
Provide technical expertise in civil, structural, and marine engineering activities for onshore and offshore facilities. Support engineering studies, design reviews, integrity management, troubleshooting, and project execution to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide civil, structural, and marine engineering support including design reviews, technical studies, specifications development, troubleshooting, and failure investigations.
  • Prepare and review design bases, engineering calculations, technical specifications, and design packages in compliance with international standards and industry best practices.
  • Support projects throughout all phases including conceptual studies, FEED, detailed design, construction, installation, commissioning, and start-up.
  • Deliver technical support to operations and maintenance teams for onshore and offshore facilities.
  • Lead structural integrity management programs for steel and concrete structures to ensure safety, reliability, and asset performance.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and provide guidance on complex engineering issues.
  • Perform structural analysis using engineering software such as STAAD, SACS, or equivalent tools.
  • Participate in risk assessments, root cause failure analysis (RCFA), HAZOP reviews, lifting studies, inspections, and related engineering evaluations.
  • Interface with contractors, consultants, and stakeholders while providing technical presentations and mentoring junior engineers.
  • Support operational readiness, asset handover, and project closeout activities.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related discipline.
Experience
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in the Oil & Gas, Energy, Petrochemical, or Heavy Industrial sector.
  • Experience with both greenfield and brownfield projects.
  • Experience supporting onshore and offshore facilities.
Technical Skills
  • Strong knowledge of international civil and structural engineering codes and standards.
  • Proficient in structural analysis and engineering software.
  • Knowledge of steel and concrete design, marine structures, and asset integrity management.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical report-writing skills.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
