About the Role

Contribute to designing world-class infrastructure projects across mining, bulk-material handling, and mineral processing facilities. In this hands-on role, you will develop, review, and coordinate civil engineering designs, produce detailed drawings and documentation, and prepare comprehensive design estimates. Working collaboratively with clients, engineers, and multidisciplinary teams, you will tackle complex technical challenges to ensure designs comply with all relevant standards and regulations. 

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, develop, coordinate, and review civil design work for medium-sized infrastructure projects
  • Produce and check detailed models, drawings, and documentation in line with established civil design standards
  • Prepare and manage design estimates, work plans, and schedules to meet project scope and budget
  • Review civil engineering sketches and drawings from designers and drafters to maintain quality and compliance
  • Ensure all designs conform to relevant codes, regulations, and industry standards
  • Facilitate technical discussions with clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Extensive experience using MicroStation and OpenRoads software for civil design and drafting
  • Strong knowledge of civil engineering materials, construction standards, and design codes
  • Demonstrated ability to read, interpret, and manage multidiscipline engineering drawings and documentation
  • Proven capability to lead design activities and review work for accuracy and compliance
  • Excellent communication skills with experience engaging technical teams and clients
  • Experience preparing design estimates and managing project schedules

Desirable Skills

  • Familiarity with global 3D model oversight and multidisciplinary interface management
  • Knowledge of industry-specific procedural documentation such as Bechtel Design Guides and Engineering Department Procedures
  • Experience in large-scale industrial or mining infrastructure projects

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline (or international equivalent)
  • 8–10 years relevant civil structural design experience, or 12–14 years of practical engineering design work
