ClinTech Business Development Director – Drive Innovation in Clinical Trial Technology
Join a leading clinical technology organization as a ClinTech Business Development Director and play a pivotal role in transforming the future of clinical trials through cutting-edge technology. In this dynamic position, you will lead proactive sales and consulting efforts focused on a portfolio including IRT, eConsent, eCOA/ePRO, and Connected Devices—designed to enhance the efficiency and quality of clinical research worldwide. Collaborating closely with global teams and key stakeholders, you will guide complex, cross-border proposals from concept to contract, helping sponsors optimize their clinical technology strategies in increasingly global study environments.
Required Skills
  • Proven sales experience within CROs, pharmaceutical companies, or clinical technology sectors
  • Solid understanding of clinical trials and their operational requirements
  • Ability to identify client challenges and tailor innovative ClinTech solutions (IRT, eConsent, eCOA/ePRO, Connected Devices)
  • Strong relationship-building skills with key decision-makers to foster long-term partnerships
  • Business-level English proficiency and native-level Japanese communication skills
  • Skilled in leading proposal development, presentations, and contract negotiations
Nice to Have Skills
  • Technical knowledge of clinical IT systems relevant to trial management
  • Experience working on international or cross-border clinical trials
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and sales activity reporting
Preferred Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Life Sciences, Business, or related fields
  • Extensive experience in clinical technology sales or business development, ideally within a global healthcare or pharmaceutical environment
Other Requirements
  • Based in Tokyo (Shinagawa Office) with flexibility for remote work and flexible hours
  • Willingness to collaborate across global teams and manage cross-border projects
