Job Title: CNC Machinist
Location: Houston, TX
Work Schedule: 8 hours/day, 40 hours/week
Contract Duration: 12 months
Pay Rate: $22–$24/hour
Start Date: ASAP

Job Summary
The CNC Machinist will perform precision machining operations on rotors, gas components, and related parts using CNC and manual machines. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and adherence to safety standards in a workshop environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety protocols.
  • Program and operate CNC lathes, vertical turning lathes (VTLs), and milling machines.
  • Read and interpret OEM drawings, work instructions, and digital routers.
  • Apply GD&T principles and basic algebra/geometry for precision machining.
  • Set machine controls for speed, feed, coolant flow, and cutting angles.
  • Monitor operations, troubleshoot malfunctions, and maintain quality standards.
  • Select and secure fixtures, cutting tools, and materials for machining tasks.

Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 10+ years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Advanced skills in CNC and manual machining (mills, lathes, VTLs).
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and apply GD&T.
  • Experience in gas turbine repair and rotor/component machining is a plus.

Working Conditions
  • Onshore, office and workshop environment.

  • Physical stamina for long standing hours.
