A fast‑growing Independent Power Producer specialising in utility‑scale solar PV and battery energy storage is seeking an experienced Commercial Director to lead its commercial strategy and drive portfolio growth across Spain and Germany.
About the Role As Commercial Director, you will shape and execute the commercial vision of the business, overseeing project monetisation, market strategy, partnerships, and revenue optimisation. You will work closely with development, finance, and technical teams to secure long‑term value for a growing pipeline of solar and BESS assets across the Spanish and German markets.

About the Role As Commercial Director, you will shape and execute the commercial vision of the business, overseeing project monetisation, market strategy, partnerships, and revenue optimisation. You will work closely with development, finance, and technical teams to secure long‑term value for a growing pipeline of solar and BESS assets across the Spanish and German markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead commercial strategy across origination, PPAs, route‑to‑market, and revenue optimisation
- Drive commercial structuring for solar and BESS projects from early‑stage through to operation
- Negotiate long‑term off-take agreements, partnerships, and strategic commercial contracts
- Oversee market analysis, pricing, and investment case development
- Support M&A, project financing, and portfolio growth initiatives
- Build and manage relationships with utilities, traders, corporates, and key market stakeholders
- Provide commercial leadership across the full asset life cycle
- Senior commercial leader with strong experience in the Spanish energy market
- Deep understanding of solar PV, BESS, PPAs, and energy trading/market dynamics
- Proven track record negotiating complex commercial agreements
- Strong financial and analytic skills, with experience supporting investment decisions
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities
