Our client, a leading resources organisation, is seeking an experienced Commercial Specialist to join their team.

Working closely with the Commercial Lead and as an integral member of the project delivery team, you will provide commercial guidance across both new procurement activities and established contract packages. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of the full contract lifecycle while partnering with internal stakeholders and external suppliers to support the successful delivery of strategic projects.

Key Responsibilities Reporting to the Commercial Lead, your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing contract management strategies in line with organisational standards and project objectives.
  • Managing end-to-end sourcing activities, contract execution, and contract variations across a diverse project portfolio.
  • Monitoring contractor performance against agreed KPIs and contractual obligations at both project and portfolio level.
  • Coordinating the review, approval, and execution of contract amendments and variation requests.
  • Maintaining accurate contract documentation, reporting, records, and meeting outcomes.
  • Identifying and escalating commercial and contractual risks while facilitating timely resolution of issues relating to claims, invoicing, rebates, and contract administration.
  • Building strong, collaborative relationships with internal project teams, procurement, legal, and external contractors.
About You
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent industry experience.
  • SAP experience and exposure to established Contract Management Systems (CMS).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to develop practical business solutions.
  • The ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience establishing and administering engineering and construction contracts and agreements within mining or resources industry.
  • Advanced skills across the Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project.

  • Occasional site travel may be required.
