Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Senior Commissioning Manager to lead the planning, execution, and startup of gas turbine power generation projects. This individual will be responsible for managing all commissioning activities from mechanical completion through commercial operation, ensuring projects are executed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with contractual and operational requirements.
The successful candidate will bring 10–15 years of experience in power generation commissioning, startup, and project execution with direct experience supporting NovaLT16 and LMS-series gas turbine installations. This role requires a strong combination of technical expertise, project management capability, and leadership skills to coordinate multidisciplinary teams throughout the commissioning and startup process.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead commissioning and startup activities for gas turbine power generation projects.
- Direct and manage a team of 6–8 commissioning engineers, startup technicians, and field personnel across multiple project sites.
- Develop commissioning execution plans, startup procedures, turnover strategies, and project schedules.
- Manage all phases of commissioning from mechanical completion through commercial operation.
- Coordinate activities among engineering, construction, operations, OEM representatives, vendors, subcontractors, and customers.
- Oversee commissioning budgets, schedules, staffing plans, risk management activities, and project reporting.
- Lead field teams during system turnover, energization, first fire, synchronization, testing, and performance verification.
- Ensure safe execution of commissioning activities while maintaining compliance with environmental, quality, and operational standards.
- Drive punch-list resolution and system acceptance processes.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts during startup and operational testing.
- Develop and improve commissioning processes, work instructions, and project execution methodologies.
- Mentor commissioning personnel and support workforce development initiatives.
- Maintain accurate commissioning documentation, turnover packages, startup reports, and project records.
- 10–15 years of experience in power generation commissioning, startup, operations, or project management.
- Direct commissioning experience with NovaLT16 gas turbine technology.
- Experience with LMS-series gas turbines and associated auxiliary systems.
- Strong working knowledge of Mark VI and Mark VIe control systems.
- Demonstrated experience leading commissioning activities for utility-scale, industrial, distributed generation, peaking power, or data center generation facilities.
- Experience managing teams of 6–8 commissioning engineers, startup specialists, technicians, or field personnel.
- Strong understanding of gas turbine operations, balance-of-plant systems, electrical systems, instrumentation, controls, and plant operations.
- Proven success managing commissioning schedules, budgets, staffing plans, and project deliverables.
- Experience coordinating stakeholders across engineering, construction, operations, and customer organizations.
- Ability to travel extensively to project sites throughout North America.
- PMP certification.
- Experience with fast-track power projects and modular power generation installations.
- Experience supporting mission-critical infrastructure, data centers, utilities, or industrial facilities.
- Background in turbine troubleshooting, performance testing, and operational readiness assessments.
- Familiarity with EPC project execution and owner/operator turnover processes.
