We are working with our Major Oil and Gas client, recruiting for a Communications Advisor to join them on an initial contract until the end of 2027. The Communications Advisor supports an Australian based Change Management project team in developing and delivering communication and engagement activities that help leaders and employees understand, prepare for, and adopt business changes associated with the implementation of S4/HANA.  Working closely with the Global program team, Business Change Management (BCM) team, Deployment Leads, and business stakeholders, the role ensures communications are timely, targeted, consistent, and aligned with program objectives. The position will leverage internal communications protocols, materials and closely partner with Corporate Affairs team.

Responsibilities:

Communication Planning & Delivery
  • Support the development and execution of communication and engagement strategies for Australian release, across all levels of workforce with particular focus on communication to Frontline leaders and workforce
  • Prepare and coordinate project communications, including leadership updates, SharePoint sites, newsletters, announcements, FAQs, talking points, presentations, and readiness materials.
  • Maintain communication calendars and ensure alignment with key project milestones and deployment activities.
  • Coordinate review and approval processes for communication materials.
  • Stakeholder Engagement
  • Partner with the BCM team to identify stakeholder communication needs and support engagement activities.
  • Support leadership communication cascades and change network initiatives.
  • Coordinate stakeholder feedback mechanisms and help track key themes, risks, and concerns.
  • Facilitate effective information flow between the program team, deployment teams, and business stakeholders.
Change & Readiness Communications
  • Translate complex program information into localised, clear, user-focused communications.
  • Coordinate Change Readiness
  • Support awareness of upcoming changes, impacts, training, and readiness activities.
  • Develop communications that reinforce project objectives, benefits, and desired behaviours.
  • Assist with go-live, cutover, and hypercare communications planning and delivery.
Content & Channel Management
  • Create and maintain content across communication channels including SharePoint, Teams, email, presentations, and digital collateral.
  • Ensure communication materials comply with communication standards and branding requirements.
  • Manage communication repositories and maintain version control of key artifacts.
Reporting & Continuous Improvement
  • Track communication activities, stakeholder engagement, and channel effectiveness.
  • Monitor feedback, communication metrics, and stakeholder sentiment.
  • Identify opportunities to improve engagement, communications processes, and user experience.
  • Support project reporting on communications and engagement activities.
Required
  • Experience in communications, stakeholder engagement, change management, or project support.
  • Strong written communication and content development skills.
  • Ability to translate complex information into clear and engaging messages.
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience using Microsoft 365 tools including Teams, SharePoint, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Strong planning, coordination, and organizational skills.
  • Experience supporting large-scale technology deployment programs.
  • Knowledge of change management methodologies and adoption principles.
  • Experience developing creative and effective communication and engagement plans.
