Job Title: Risk and Compliance Coordinator
Department: HSE
Location: Basra, Iraq
Work Pattern: 5/2 

Role Synopsis:
The primary objective for this role is to provide support in applying risk and compliance management strategy by ensuring that processes are in place to understand and manage. 

Key Accountabilities:
  • Help Leadership teams embed a culture of continuous and proactive risk management and risk controls oversight.
  • Aid and advise on the implementation of quality risk registers and risk action plans.
  • Aid development and sustainability of risk management competency across functional business teams.
  • Facilitate continuous risk identification, assessment, planning, performance management and risk reporting activities.
  • Support and facilitate risk reviews at all levels of the business.
  • Engage relevant subject matter experts to advise on risk identification, assessment, control, mitigation and planning.
  • Support the transition of risks between risk owners.
  • Communicate compliance requirements to end users and ensure implementation of appropriate controls by relevant departments.
  • Identify and coordinate risks arising from non-compliance across departments
  • Work under the direction of the Risk Specialist.

Criteria & Qualifications:
Essential:
  • Degree in engineering, safety/ risk management or equivalent.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work with a wide range of people through influence, coaching and teamwork.
  • Strong performance, including excellent analytical and organizational skills, along with good attention to detail.
  • 5+ years of Oil & Gas industry experience in a variety of roles that demonstrate skills leading to progression.
  • A minimum of intermediate computer skills and applications.
Desirable
Recognised professional certification/qualification in Occupational Safety & Health
