NES Fircroft is currently recruiting a Construction Quality Engineer to support major Oil & Gas construction projects in Singapore.

The Construction Quality Engineer is responsible for implementing quality standards during construction activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications, codes, and regulatory requirements to deliver safe and reliable facilities.

Key Responsibilities
Specifically, you shall be responsible for:
  • Overseeing construction quality activities, ensuring alignment with approved quality plans, Inspection Test Plans (ITPs), and project requirements.
  • Coordinating inspections, testing, and verification activities with construction teams, subcontractors, and third-party inspectors.
  • Identifying and managing non-conformities, ensuring corrective and preventive actions are effectively implemented and documented.
  • Supporting the development and implementation of quality control procedures and construction method statements.
  • Contributing to contractor quality performance assessments and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintaining accurate and complete records of inspections, tests, and quality documentation to ensure traceability and support final project dossiers.
  • Participating in audits and reviews to verify compliance with quality management systems and regulatory standards.
  • Promoting a strong quality culture across site teams through coaching, communication, and daily engagement.

To be successful in this role you shall need:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or related discipline) or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in construction quality management within the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Strong knowledge of international quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001), welding processes, NDT, and materials inspection.
  • Experience working closely with contractors, subcontractors, and third-party inspection bodies on construction sites.
  • Solid understanding of quality documentation systems, ITPs, and inspection reporting.
  • Experience in supporting audits, compliance verification, and continuous improvement processes.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent planning, coordination, and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to influence and promote quality standards on-site.

Desirable Requirements
  • Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or equivalent certification.
  • Additional certifications such as CSWIP, API, or similar are advantageous.
  • Multilingual capability is beneficial, particularly in international project environments.
