Contract Lead

We’re currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Contract and Change Leader to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing all the commercial and legal aspects of the contracts signed by our customer with their suppliers, lenders, investors or partners. You will collaborate with the client and with cross-functional teams to address contractual issues (performance, infringement, rights and obligations, risk and mitigations,...). The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in engineering and/or business administration and/or commercial law, capacity to work under pressure with multicultural teams.

Responsibilities            

• To assist the Contract Manager and the Project Managers on the planning, integration, coordination and control of all the PMC contract related activities for the assigned Construction Areas, Contracts, Units or processes. 
• Ensure compliance with Client policies, generic strategies, and procedures for the execution of the PMC contract in the assigned Construction Areas or Contracts
• Direct the technical and operational fulfilment of the PMC Contract, interacting with the client on matters inherent to the Work contracts for the Construction Areas or Contracts under their responsibility.
• Promote, establish, and maintain technical and administrative relationships with the client and its contractors to understand and resolve situations arising from the execution of the PMC Contract for the Construction Areas Units under their responsibility.
• Effectively integrate and manage the necessary resources human and material for the execution of the PMC contract in the assigned Construction Areas or Contracts coordinating to the different Contract & Change Engineers under his/her responsibility.
• Identify potential risks to the Project early and develop appropriate treatment plans, promptly reporting to the Contract Manager, to the Project Management and the correspondent steering committee
• Integrate and coordinate the work plans of the management team and/or PMC disciplines according to the needs and requirements of the PMC contract for the Different Construction Areas.
• Ensure that the deliverables prepared by the PMC management team meet the requirements, quality, and procedures of the PMC contract for the supervision of the Work contracts of the assigned Process Units.
• Issue and sign formal communications inherent to the execution of the PMC contract for the supervision of the Work contracts of the Processing Units under its charge.
• Participate actively in all the systematic project and PMC contract review meetings affecting the assigned Construction Areas or Contracts, monitoring the completion of tasks assigned to those responsible for each department and/or discipline.
• Other duties inherent to the position and/or designated by the Contract Manager and PMC Project Management.

Requirements and skills           

• Minimum 12 years of experience in Contract Management in the Oil & Gas, Engineering and Construction, Steel, Mining and/or Infrastructure sectors.
• Experience managing EPC contracts and/or having participated in teams that provided PMC or EPCM services.
• Business and Financial experience
• Risk & Mitigation Planning experience
• Commercial understanding
• Experience working on technically complex projects.
• Willing to commute to Northern Sweden 3 weeks per month.
• Experience with MS Office, Primavera and//or Aconex
• Fluent in English.
