Contract Specialist 
 
Contract period: 31.03.2026 - 30.08.2027
Location: Bergen or Stavanger

Main tasks:
  • Establish agreement: Lead process and team compliant and efficiently 
  • Ensure safety, security, and sustainability in procurement 
  • Establish Specific Procurement Strategy according to business need and relevant Category Strategy 
  • Understand relevant market and how to connect this to business need 
  • Produce and issue request for information (RFI) 
  • Establish bidders list 
  • Prepare evaluation procedure 
  • Establish, issue and manage enquiry 
  • Handle bid clarifications and conduct bid clarification meetings 
  • Plan and conduct negotiations 
  • Perform evaluation and agreement award, including partner approval 
  • Ensure proper hand-over to management phase, including strategic objectives 
  • Manage agreement: Agreement start-up activities, including: 
  • Implement contract(s) in all systems (Plan-to-Pay) 
  • Receive and archive guarantees 
  • Contribute to the establishment and management of a risk-based follow-up plan, linked to strategic objectives 
  • Contribute to ensure agreement understanding and compliance (training of internal and external users) 
  • Contribute to contract start-up meetings with supplier(s) 
  • Manage performance and relations, including: 
  • Safeguard correct use of the contract 
  • Give input on and analyse cost performance data 
  • Stakeholder management 
  • Initiate and implement improvements 
  • Perform supplier relations management 
  • Ensure SOX-control 
  • Handle change, including: 
  • Variation order requests (VOR) and variation orders (VO) 
  • Amendments Options 
  • Request for rate adjustments 
  • Handle supplier quality deviation 
  • Handle contractual issues, including Force Majeure 
  • Perform cancellation and termination of contract 
  • Perform close out, including: 
  • Accept of delivery 
  • Completion and final account 
  • Closing of contract 

Qualifications:
  • Be able to both work independently and collaborate close with the rest of the team
  • Have good negotiations and communications skills 
  • Have good knowledge about contract follow-up and Company regulations (Aris) - or be able to quickly acquire new knowledge and become acquainted with new tools 
  • Be flexible regarding work tasks
