Contracts Lead II Location: Calgary, AB 
Work Schedule: 5 days on / 2 days off
Hours: 40 hours per week
Assignment Duration: 1 Year 

About the Role The Contracts Lead II is responsible for managing a portfolio of agreements and new requests, enabling efficient and effective procurement of goods and services from purchase to pay. The role focuses on business value, on‑time delivery, and cycle time. This position operates with moderate work direction and requires strong procurement and contract management knowledge. It aligns with a Senior Procurement Associate, Specialist, or Contracts Manager role and may include overseeing highly complex contracts or work requiring deep business knowledge.

Key Responsibilities Contract Management & Procurement
  • Negotiate contract pricing, terms, and conditions directly with suppliers.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure lowest total system cost and mitigation of supply and legal risks.
  • Execute procure‑to‑pay (PtP) processes in full compliance with the Sourcing & Acquisition Handbook and CIMS.
  • Maintain the agreement portfolio, including scope updates, pricing, exhibits, and amendments.
  • Ensure contract compliance and supplier performance; support issue resolution.
  • Improve transactional efficiency by leveraging procurement systems.
  • Identify business value and improvement opportunities across the portfolio.
Process & Relationship Management
  • Develop and maintain strong internal and external relationships to meet business needs.
  • Provide fit‑for‑risk process improvements.
  • Contribute to development and implementation of category strategies and commercial guidance.
  • Share portfolio‑specific market intelligence with relevant category teams.
