NES Fircroft are currently partnering with a tier 1 iron ore miner to source an extensively experienced Control Systems Engineer to join their remote operations centre supporting their mining assets throughout WA
Benefits
- Hourly rate of $100 per hour + superannuation
- Work within a modern Integrated Remote Operations Centre (IROC) environment
- Lifestyle roster with regular extended breaks
- Exposure to large‑scale automated bulk handling operations
- Dedicated ongoing contractor support team
About You
- Qualified in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or Electrical/Instrumentation trades
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in control systems within large‑scale industrial or bulk handling operations
- Skilled with Allen Bradley PLCs, Schneider PLCs, and Citect SCADA
- Strong problem‑solving, communication, and stakeholder engagement abilities
- Able to work independently within a 24x7 rotating roster environment
Job Responsibilities
- Provide first‑response control systems support for breakdowns and production‑critical issues
- Work alongside control room operators to resolve system interruptions
- Investigate root causes of downtime and implement preventative solutions
- Deliver minor PLC/SCADA improvement projects to enhance plant performance
