Control Valve Technician I

Term: 12-month 

Location:  Pasadena, TX 77507

Pay Rate: $25/hr 

Shift: M-F; 7am to 3pm (OT and weekends as needed)

 Responsibilities:
• Locate, use, and comprehend manufacturer installation and operation manuals 
• Perform inspection to identify necessary corrective action as authorized 
• Perform PMI 
• Assemble, test, and troubleshoot valves and other equipment per applicable codes and standards per manufacturer and/or customer requirements all new valves 
• Install instrumentation/accessories as necessary 
• Operate diagnostic equipment (i.e. Valscope, profiler, etc.) 
• Perform calibration of measurement equipment in accordance with internal quality procedures 
• Measure and record critical dimensions per manufacturer specifications.  

Work environment: 

  • Fast paced and noisy, long-standing hours 

  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 20 lbs, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. 

  • Workshop 
     

Qualifications:  

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Read and interpret assembly instructions 

  • Reading calipers and gauges 

  • Hydro testing valve experience 

  • SAP Experience Preferred by not required(ERP systems a plus) 

Nice to have: 

  • Control valve assembly experience 

  • Calibrating and testing experience of valves 

  • Good communication and reliable
