CSA Supervisor / Field Engineer (Construction Structural Architectural)  

Reporting to the Site Project Manager, the CSA Supervisor / Field Engineer is responsible for supervision of and monitoring the daily activities of the Civil & Building Contractor works at the Clients Dunkerque Terminal site. The project is a relatively standard administration building extension complicated by the need to maintain continual operation and access to the control room of the existing plant for the duration of the extension works.  

The Clients project consists of small structural extensions to the existing operations building in three phases, North, West and South/East at ground, first and roof level. There will be elements of demolition as well as Internal works to be carried out. This requires detailed work planning and continuous coordination.  

Responsibilities:  

• Work closely with and provide Civil & Earthworks guidance to the filed based  

Construction Contractor.  

• Responsible for performing completion and final documentation.
• Coordination in French and English language.  

• Preparation and assistance and issuance of site work permits, training on client’s  

system will be provided.  

• Supports and implements Companies' HSE policies.  

• Development and implementation of site safety plans.  

• Capable to read and interpret Civil, Structural, Architectural and safety plans.  

• Development and follow up on the Master Schedule.  

• Assist with Safety, Construction and Progress meetings.  

• Assure the conformity of activities on site to the technical specifications of the  

project notifying any deviations to the site Project Manager Quality inspections.  

• Reporting.  

Qualifications  

• Civil background with Structural knowledge.  

• 5 years site construction experience, preferably on live sites.  

• French and English language proficiencies oral and written.  

• Effective interpersonal abilities able to liaise with Client requests and Contractors  

daily. Computer aptitude (MS packages) and and familiar with VIC, PDP and the  

Work Permit system.  

• The person must be prepared for this to be a 50/50 field and office position. Reason  

why experience with engineering work is an advantage.  

• Experience in performing completion and final documentation  

• Good physical health.  

• Able to contribute to team spirit.  

• Have a high initiative
