An established infrastructure and services organisation is seeking an experienced Combined Services Engineer to join a route-based operations team supporting essential assets across transport and urban environments.

This role suits someone who enjoys hands‑on service delivery, working across a portfolio of sites, and applying sound engineering judgement in a practical, field‑focused setting. You’ll be involved in planned servicing, inspections, investigations, and technical support across a range of combined civil and environmental assets.

Key responsibilities

  • Carry out inspections, assessments, and support maintenance activities for combined service assets (e.g. drainage, civil infrastructure, associated services)
  • Prepare technical documentation including reports, calculations, and scopes of work
  • Liaise with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure safe and compliant delivery
  • Support quality, safety, and environmental standards across assigned routes
  • Contribute to continuous improvement through practical, on-the-ground insights

About you

You’re a practical, solutions‑focused engineer who is comfortable balancing site work with technical input. You may come from a civil, environmental, or infrastructure background and enjoy the variety that route-based roles offer.

You’ll ideally have:
  • A recognised Civil or Environmental Engineering qualification
  • 3+ years’ experience in infrastructure, utilities, or asset-based environments
  • Exposure to drainage, transport, or combined service assets
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative, safety‑first mindset
  • Confidence working across multiple sites and managing your own work programme
