We are seeking a Cultural Heritage Coordinator to support the delivery of Cultural Heritage commitments across projects and operations. Working within the Indigenous Participation and Cultural Heritage function, this role plays a key part in coordinating assessments, approvals, documentation, and stakeholder engagement to ensure cultural heritage obligations are met safely, efficiently, and in line with legislative and agreement requirements.

We are seeking a Cultural Heritage Coordinator to support the delivery of Cultural Heritage commitments across projects and operations. Working within the Indigenous Participation and Cultural Heritage function, this role plays a key part in coordinating assessments, approvals, documentation, and stakeholder engagement to ensure cultural heritage obligations are met safely, efficiently, and in line with legislative and agreement requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Cultural Heritage Coordination
- Coordinate Cultural Heritage approvals and assessments for projects and operational activities as allocated by the group
- Manage and coordinate invitations and engagement for Cultural Heritage assessments involving internal teams, Traditional Owner Groups, consultants, and other external stakeholders
- Support the safe and efficient delivery of Cultural Heritage commitments under Cultural Heritage Agreements and Indigenous Land Use Agreements (ILUAs)
- Undertake due diligence checks for all Cultural Heritage reports and related documentation
- Maintain accurate document control for Cultural Heritage reports and records, ensuring compliance with internal systems and external requirements
- Maintain a working understanding of obligations under relevant Cultural Heritage legislation, agreements, and regulatory frameworks
- Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of Cultural Heritage procedures, systems, and management practices
- Recommend and implement improvements to Cultural Heritage management processes to enhance efficiency, compliance, and delivery outcomes
- Support the development of strategies to manage and mitigate Cultural Heritage risks, issues, and opportunities
- Assist with meeting contractual commitments with Traditional Owner Groups and their entities
- Support engagement activities aligned with Cultural Heritage agreements and stakeholder expectations
- Experience supporting Cultural Heritage, Indigenous engagement, environmental, or approvals functions (or equivalent transferable experience)
- Working knowledge of Cultural Heritage legislation, agreements, and compliance obligations
- Strong coordination, document control, and administrative skills
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple workstreams concurrently
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
