High Level Project Description
• The Development Geology - Technical Advisor role will be responsible for providing outstanding technical work within the UTD-Subsurface team, and direct contribution to our client’s exploration and development assets worldwide. Subsurface team, contributing directly to our clients development and exploration assets worldwide. The role will require active participation on field development planning, evaluation of new opportunities and, exploration and appraisal projects among others.
• An active interaction with other geoscientists, reservoir & production engineers, petrophysicists inside the company is expected.
• The Technical Advisor, in this position will be part of multidisciplinary teams, coordinate the planning and implementation of geoscience technical activities, in accordance with our clients RCM Manual, the Safety and Environment Standards, and other recommended practices and techniques.
• The position requires extensive experience in geological evaluation for integrated reservoir characterization studies and 3D static modelling across multiple reservoir types in a variety of structural settings and basins around the world. Experience in reserves evaluation and audit in accordance with industry standards and regulations is also required

• Subsurface project coordinator or Development geology hub manager.
Job description.
• The candidate have to be able to build 3D models (in Petrel), utilizing state-of-the-art workflows, with solid geological concepts, and skilled integration of geophysical, petrophysical, and RE inputs, as recommended in the corporate RCM manual.
• Ensure compliance with planning and global objectives for project development, company reserves, and business strategies. Implement and ensure the QA process and uncertainty evaluation for all development studies and technical activities carried out by the team.
• Ensure reports and supporting information are completed to the company's technical standards.
Report technical recommendations for management
• Provide geological evaluation on reservoir characterization for quality assurance/control on field development planning, evaluation of new opportunities, and appraisal with emphasis on geological reservoir characterization.
• Provide technical assistance to BU and project teams to ensure application of best practices on geological reservoir characterization and multidisciplinary integration.
• Participate in or lead reservoir characterization projects, including modelling. A solid working knowledge of enhanced modelling workflows and the integration of subsurface interpretation outputs into a 3D static model is required
• Contribute to recommendations regarding options to acquire new geological data to reduce development field uncertainty/risk and seek opportunities.
• Assess, quantify, and communicate geological risks and uncertainties along with conclusions based on interpretations. An ability to work with uncertainty and to analyse statistics is essential.
• Experience in leading and coordinating the implementation of digital initiatives for unconventional reservoirs.
Education / Qualifications
• Master in science in petroleum Geology or similar
• Minimum 15 years of geomodelling experience
• Strong understanding of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project).
• Geological software proficiency: Petrel
• Excellent written and oral command of the English language.
• Basic understanding of the Spanish language is advantageous but not essential
Required Behaviours & Skills
• Extensive experience in reservoir geology across diverse reservoir types, structural settings, and basins worldwide.
• An ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team, to create integrated products, and a broad understanding of the subsurface reservoir model.
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to interact with a broad range of technical specialists
• Must be flexible to rapidly adapt the corporate RCM standards for static reservoirs characterization and 3D modelling
