Job Title: Digital Media Specialist
Location: Calgary, AB
Start Date: March 2026
Duration: 6 Months Contract
Note: Candidates must supply their own equipment.

Position Overview The Digital Media Specialist will be responsible for capturing, producing, and editing high‑quality video content that supports both educational and promotional initiatives for client projects. This role requires strong technical expertise in videography—including camera operation, lighting, and audio—as well as advanced editing skills to deliver polished, engaging final videos. The ideal candidate excels at communication, organization, and managing multiple projects in a deadline‑driven environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with internal teams to understand project goals, creative direction, and feedback.
  • Plan and prepare for video shoots, including storyboarding, scheduling, and location coordination.
  • Operate cameras, lighting, and audio equipment during shoots (must use personal equipment).
  • Capture high‑quality footage that aligns with project objectives and creative briefs.
  • Edit raw footage into professional final videos using industry‑standard editing software.
  • Apply color correction, basic color grading, audio balancing, and light motion graphics.
  • Add music, graphics, subtitles, closed captioning, and special effects when required.
  • Deliver videos in the appropriate formats and resolutions for various platforms.
  • Manage, organize, and archive video assets, ensuring proper file structure and backups.
  • Maintain personal equipment and ensure it is prepared for all shoots.
  • Stay current with emerging video technologies, tools, and industry best practices.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in film, video production, or a related field.
  • Strong skills in camera operation, lighting setup, and sound recording.
  • Proficiency with professional video editing software (e.g., Premiere Pro, Final Cut, DaVinci Resolve).
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and comfort working under tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrated creative and technical ability through a portfolio of work.
  • Solid understanding of visual storytelling and bringing concepts to life.
  • Exceptional time‑management and organizational skills in a fast‑paced environment.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of professional experience as a videographer.
  • Advanced video editing and post‑production skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, adapting to shifting priorities.
  • Ability to travel to project sites across the U.S., Canada, and Europe.
  • Experience working with corporate clients.
  • Experience filming on construction or industrial worksites.
  • Experience directing on‑camera talent or interview subjects.
  • Valid passport required.
