NES Fircroft is proud to be partnering with a leading global oilfield services provider, specialising in directional drilling, well completions and drilling technology solutions, to support their upcoming east coast drilling campaigns. We are currently seeking experienced Directional Drillers with proven DDx competency for upcoming projects across multiple locations on the east coast of Australia. These opportunities will support a series of high activity drilling programs scheduled to commence shortly. The requirement will be for multiple drillers to commence on inital 3 to 6 month contracts with strong view to extend.
About the role
You will be responsible for delivering safe and accurate directional drilling services across a variety of well types. Working closely with the drilling team and client representatives, you will ensure all DDx requirements are executed to standard and that well trajectory objectives are consistently achieved.

Key responsibilities
- Directional drilling operations using DDx systems
- Real time decision making to maintain planned well path
- Collaboration with drilling supervisors and rig crews
- Daily reporting, BHA planning and downhole tool management
- Commitment to safety, performance and operational excellence
- Demonstrated experience as a Directional Driller
- Strong competency with DDx
- Prior experience working on land rigs in Australia or similar environments
- High level of technical understanding across drilling tools and downhole technologies
- Ability to work in dynamic and fast paced drilling programs
- Current Australian working rights
- Initial 3 to 6 month contract
