Discipline Lead – Structural Engineering. Industry: Water / Infrastructure.

Role Overview
Our client are looking for an experienced Structural Engineer to lead structural engineering activities across major infrastructure bids and projects. The role will support both tender and delivery stages, with a focus on practical and buildable engineering solutions within contractor-led environments.

Main Responsibilities

 Lead structural engineering activities across bids and projects.
 Undertake or review structural calculations and technical deliverables.
 Support design development for reinforced concrete, steel and infrastructure structures.
 Coordinate interfaces with civils, geotechnics and construction teams.
 Support buildability reviews and temporary works coordination.
 Manage external structural designers and technical deliverables.
 Participate in technical reviews and engineering assurance activities.
 Support value engineering and design optimisation exercises.

Candidate Requirements

 Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering.
 Chartered Engineer or working towards chartership.
 Around 10 years’ infrastructure experience.
 Strong technical background in structural engineering.
 Experience undertaking and checking engineering calculations.
 Contractor-side or design and build experience preferred.
 Water sector experience beneficial but not essential.
