Electrical & Instrumentation Technician Join a Major Shutdown & Commissioning Project

Are you an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation Technician looking for your next shutdown and commissioning opportunity? We are seeking skilled E&I professionals to support a critical fixed plant project within a large-scale industrial processing facility. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a high-profile operation while earning competitive rates on a structured roster.

Salary & Benefits
  • Day Shift: $95 per hour + super
  • Night Shift: $100 per hour + super
  • Fortnightly pay through NES Fircroft's online payroll system
  • Initial contract from 06 July 2026 to 28 August 2026
  • 12-hour shifts (Days: 6am-6pm | Nights: 6pm-6am)
  • Kwinana Beach location with established site facilities
  • Opportunity to gain valuable shutdown and commissioning project experience
  • Dedicated NES Fircroft consultant and contractor support throughout your assignment

About You We're looking for motivated and safety-focused technicians who possess:
  • Electrical Workers Licence and Electrical/Instrumentation Trade Qualification
  • High Voltage Switching certification and EWP licence
  • Minimum 5 years' experience within heavy industrial, processing, refining or fixed plant environments
  • Strong commissioning, maintenance and fault-finding experience across electrical and instrumentation systems
  • Full Australian working rights and the ability to comply with site PPE and respirator requirements, including a clean-shaven policy
The Job Role Working within a busy shutdown and commissioning team, your responsibilities will include:
  • Supporting functional testing, no-load commissioning, load commissioning and performance verification activities
  • Performing electrical and instrumentation maintenance, inspections and troubleshooting across fixed plant equipment
  • Executing isolations and permit-to-work requirements in accordance with site procedures
  • Working on equipment including switchgear, MCCs, VSDs, PLC systems and field instrumentation
  • Contributing to safe, efficient project execution while maintaining high housekeeping and safety standards
