Electrical and Commissioning Site Engineer

The Project Electrical and Commissioning Site Engineer's primary duties include the following:  

• Oversee the installation, jointing, and termination of 33kV collector cables and the full construction of the 115kV substation  

• Supervise the installation of turbine transformers, switchgear, internal power cables, and fiber optic networks  

• Witness and verify all electrical tests, SCADA integration, and fiber optic connectivity  

• Participate and involve the coordination for testing required by EGAT/PEA to ensure grid code compliance and successful synchronization with the Thailand grid  

• Review electrical drawings, calculation reports, and method statements for WTG components, the substation, transmission lines, and utility systems  

• Identify electrical defects and manage the "Punch List" until all items are rectified by the EPC contractor  

• Review electrical drawing, calculation reports, and other electrical documents of wind turbine component and balance of plant, including but not limited to 33/115kV substation, transmission line, interconnection system with Thailand grid, auxiliary equipment in buildings, utility system  

• Review and sign off on Test Reports, As-Built electrical schematics, and Commissioning Checklists  

• Support the site manager to ensure that all working parties on-site are using the same and up-todate drawing or document version for construction activities  

• Ensure EPC contractors perform construction activities according to the approved drawings and documents  

• Closely monitor electrical work activities onsite with EPC contractors and related parties to ensure work progress, quality, and standards meet the project requirements  

• Updating work progress and conducting a report to the site manager on a regular basis or as per request  

• Attend site electrical meetings to discuss or clarify electrical issues with relevant parties as per request  

• Work with a multi-disciplinary team to identify project risks, barriers, issues, and propose possible solutions and mitigation strategies  

• Coordinate with other engineering/site discipline teams to ensure the work activities are align according to project requirements.  


Candidate requirements:  

The ideal candidate shall  

• Valid driving license  

• Having an electrical engineering degree and 5 plus years of experience within the engineering/construction sector  

• Experience with Substations (115kV) is highly preferred  

• Proficient in Office 365, particularly Word and Excel  

• Having experience with MS Project and Document Management System are advantage  

• Proficient in Thai and English at the working level in all skills  


Additional Information:  

• This position is 12 months contract, located in Dan Khun Thot District, Nakhon Ratchasima.  

• Work and base onsite 6 days/ week (Mon-Sat)
