NES Fircroft are looking for an Electrical Designer for our Tier 1 miner, supporting the detailed design of substation packages for a Pilbara Transmission Project. This role is well suited to someone developing their electrical design career and looking to gain exposure to major transmission and substation projects

Benefits:
- Location: Perth CBD
- Contract: 12 months (high possibility of extension)
- Rate: $50 –$55 per hour + super, pending experience
- Hours: Monday–Friday, 40 hours per week
- Other Benefits: Fortnightly pay, EAP contractor support, dedicated NES Fircroft consultant
- Qualification in Electrical Drafting, Engineering or relevant trade
- Experience using MicroStation 2D or similar CAD platforms
- Understanding of drafting standards and design processes
- Strong attention to detail and effective self‑checking skills
- Ability to work well in a project team and manage multiple tasks
- Clear and confident communication skills
- Produce design deliverables including SLDs, schematics & termination drawings
- You will contribute to deliverables across High Voltage (HV), Low Voltage (LV) and Protection Systems, working closely with a collaborative engineering and design team.
- Develop general arrangement and layout drawings
- Support cable routing and cable layout design
- Assist with 3D modelling of substations/switchrooms (preferred)
- Contribute to preparation of design packages and documentation
