Position Summary: The I&C hardware Engineer works within the I&C Technology team and is responsible for designing and implementing I&C electronic hardware for I&C systems for Nuclear Power Plants. The I&C Technology team has strong interfaces with electronic software design and plant system operations.  This role requires technical problem solving, strong hardware design skills, and effective communication/collaboration with other teams within the business functions.

Responsibilities: 

The Hardware Engineer is responsible for the delivery of high-quality engineering electronic hardware designs.  They will be responsible to develop creative solutions and reduce complexity to create accurate and effective solutions for complex engineering problems. Work scope typically includes the following essential responsibilities:
- Prepare design specifications.
- Printed Circuit Board (PCB) design using tools such as Altium.
- Performing simulation / module testing of design.
- Performing integration testing of the design.
- Documenting of test results.
- Creating manufacturing test procedures for designs.
- Performing Verification of Design Specifications and Reports.
- Engage customers to define scope, review results, and discuss technical risks.
- Work with Tech Leads to establish an effective work plan, including time estimates, schedule estimates, requirements, and work processes.
- Apply engineering fundamentals and 1st order engineering principles to establish and / or confirm expected performance.
- Provide clear and complete analysis documentation in accordance with engineering procedures.
- Manage time effectively to provide quality deliverables within the expected project timeline.
- Communicate effectively.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. Entry-level experience or internship in electrical engineering preferred. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in electrical design software and tools. Knowledge of electrical systems, circuits, and safety protocols.  Minimum of 5 years experience in field.
