Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer IV to oversee the design and execution of liquids pump station expansion and maintenance capital projects. This role will provide technical leadership and engineering oversight of projects executed by third-party engineering firms, ensuring compliance with company standards, industry regulations, project budgets, and schedules.
The successful candidate will collaborate closely with Project Execution, Operations, Shared Services, Construction, and external vendors to deliver safe, reliable, and cost-effective electrical engineering solutions.

This role will provide technical leadership and engineering oversight of projects executed by third-party engineering firms, ensuring compliance with company standards, industry regulations, project budgets, and schedules.
The successful candidate will collaborate closely with Project Execution, Operations, Shared Services, Construction, and external vendors to deliver safe, reliable, and cost-effective electrical engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage third-party engineering consultants and ensure all design deliverables meet quality standards while maintaining project budgets and schedules.
- Ensure pump station facilities are designed in compliance with applicable regulations, industry codes, and corporate standards.
- Design electrical systems, components, and interconnections for capital projects.
- Review and approve engineering deliverables, including drawings, technical reports, and material lists.
- Participate in design review meetings with engineering firms, project managers, operations teams, and construction personnel to discuss scope, constructability, and performance requirements.
- Review vendor quotations, conduct technical evaluations, and recommend equipment selections based on technical merit, pricing, and delivery schedules.
- Support procurement, construction, and commissioning activities as required.
- Identify and communicate lessons learned, quality issues, and improvement opportunities across projects.
- Contribute to departmental initiatives and continuous improvement efforts.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant electrical engineering experience.
- Strong understanding of industry standards, engineering specifications, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience coordinating with multiple stakeholders and managing concurrent projects.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and engineering documentation.
- Ability to work independently and effectively manage multiple priorities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience supporting industrial, pipeline, pump station, or energy infrastructure projects.
- Knowledge of procurement, construction, and commissioning processes.
- Approximately 80% office-based work supporting multiple project teams.
- Approximately 20% field work, including project scoping, procurement support, construction oversight, and commissioning activities.
