Electrical Reliability Specialist

Role Overview
As the Electrical Reliability Specialist, you will provide technical reliability support to fixed plant operations and field execution teams. By applying Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) principles, you will drive defect elimination initiatives, continuous improvement activities, and identify opportunities that enhance safe, reliable, and efficient plant operation.

A key element of success in this role is building and maintaining strong working relationships with fixed plant and field maintenance teams, as well as production, planning, inventory, and engineering stakeholders across the site.

Key Accountabilities
  • Analyse equipment lifecycle data to determine asset capability and optimise maintenance activities
  • Develop, implement, and optimise maintenance strategies that maximise plant safety, reliability, and performance
  • Build capability within the maintenance execution team to enhance safety, reliability, efficiency, work quality, and professionalism
  • Monitor equipment performance, cost, and reliability trends, conducting targeted Root Cause Analysis (RCA) where required
  • Implement improvement actions following RCA and monitor their effectiveness over time
  • Coach and mentor maintenance personnel in defect elimination and root cause analysis methodologies
  • Collaborate closely with central engineering, maintenance excellence, supply, and production functions
  • Facilitate failure mode and failure type reviews to support continuous improvement initiatives
About You
  • Degree qualification in Electrical Engineering or substantial electrical and reliability experience in fixed plant environments
  • Proven experience in a similar Electrical Reliability or Maintenance Engineering role within Mining
  • Strong stakeholder engagement, communication, and influencing skills, with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organisation
  • Demonstrated capability to define, manage, and deliver projects from concept through to implementation
  • High-level proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and enterprise asset management systems (e.g. SAP)
