A renewable energy development organization is seeking an Engagement Planning Specialist to join its Development Team in British Columbia.
This is a newly created role supporting continued growth in renewable energy development across the province. The Engagement Planning Specialist will play a key role in developing, managing, and tracking engagement processes across three active development projects, ensuring alignment with project schedules and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage engagement processes across three development projects.
- Lead and manage engagement strategies to support project advancement.
- Align engagement plans with regulatory and overall development schedules.
- Track engagement milestones, deliverables, and progress across projects.
- Provide engagement support for select development projects.
- Support engagement activities with low‑risk Indigenous Nations and local communities.
- Assist in preparing engagement materials, presentations, and meeting documentation.
- Maintain clear records of engagement activities and communications.
- Manage engagement schedules and proactively track progress against timelines.
- Identify risks or schedule gaps and escalate as needed.
- Support internal collaboration between development, regulatory, and project teams.
- Contribute to reporting on engagement activities to internal stakeholders.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- 3–6 years of experience in community engagement, Indigenous relations, stakeholder coordination, or project planning, preferably within renewable energy, infrastructure, or natural resources.
- Experience developing and implementing engagement plans in British Columbia.
- Strong understanding of engagement best practices within BC regulatory environments.
- Excellent organizational and schedule management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities effectively.
- High attention to detail and strong documentation skills.
- Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel within British Columbia as required.
