Job Title: Engineering Analyst
Location: Victoria Park Centre (North York), Ontario
Length: 1 year (with potential extension)
Rotation: Hybrid (Onsite Monday, Tuesday, Thursday; Remote Wednesday and Friday)
 
Role Summary:
The Engineering Analyst plays a key role in supporting the Pressure Vessel and Tank Inspection Program, ensuring that all inspection activities meet regulatory and industry compliance requirements. This position is responsible for conducting detailed records reviews, developing and maintaining inspection plans, evaluating inspection results, and coordinating activities with internal teams, external vendors, and field inspectors. Work is performed under the guidance and mentorship of senior engineering and integrity professionals, offering opportunities for technical growth and development.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Facilities Integrity Assessment Program to ensure safe, reliable, and environmentally responsible operations across all applicable assets.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations, including CSA Z662, CSA B51, O. Reg 210/01, API 510, API 579, API 653, and requirements established by provincial and federal regulatory authorities.
  • Participate in the inspection and assessment of pressure equipment and station assets, including identifying potential threats, evaluating risks, and recommending appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Review inspection documentation, historical records, engineering assessments, and maintenance data to support informed decision‑making.
  • Assist in the development, scheduling, and execution of inspection plans for pressure vessels, tanks, and related infrastructure.
  • Coordinate with inspectors, contractors, and operations personnel to ensure timely completion of inspection activities and accurate reporting of results.
  • Contribute to the prioritization of integrity‑related projects within the broader asset management framework, supporting long‑term planning and resource allocation.
  • Maintain organized and accurate records within integrity management systems, ensuring traceability and regulatory readiness.
  • Collaborate with senior team members to support continuous improvement initiatives, process enhancements, and the implementation of best practices in asset integrity management.
 
Qualifications & Attributes
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to interpret technical data and inspection reports.
  • Excellent communication and coordination abilities when working with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
  • Detail‑oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple tasks within defined timelines.
  • Interest in asset integrity, pressure equipment, regulatory compliance, and engineering risk assessment.
