About the Role We are seeking an experienced Engineering Lead (Corrosion) to oversee and lead all corrosion engineering activities for a major LNG project in Qatar. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing EPC Contractor deliverables related to corrosion prevention, materials selection, coatings, cathodic protection, and chemical injection systems throughout the project lifecycle.

This role requires strong technical leadership, stakeholder management, and experience in LNG and Oil & Gas projects to ensure engineering deliverables meet project specifications, industry standards, budget, and schedule requirements.

Key Responsibilities
โœ… Lead and oversee all Corrosion Engineering activities throughout EPC execution.

โœ… Manage and review design deliverables related to:

  • Internal Corrosion Prevention
  • Chemical Injection Systems
  • Metallic Materials Selection
  • Painting & Coating Systems
  • Cathodic Protection Systems
โœ… Ensure EPC Contractor compliance with project specifications, procedures, and industry standards.

โœ… Provide technical leadership and guidance to contractors, consultants, vendors, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.

โœ… Coordinate with Operations, SHEQ, Project Teams, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment of engineering deliverables.

โœ… Review corrosion design philosophies, material selection reports, and corrosion management plans.

โœ… Support procurement and contracting activities, including technical bid evaluations and vendor assessments.

โœ… Participate in field engineering activities, installation reviews, inspections, and commissioning support.

โœ… Develop and implement best practices, lessons learned initiatives, and continuous improvement programs.

โœ… Monitor EPC contractor performance to ensure safe, timely, and cost-effective project execution.

Requirements
Education
๐ŸŽ“ Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Corrosion Science, Materials Engineering, or related discipline).

Experience
โœ” Minimum 8 years of Corrosion Engineering experience

โœ” Minimum 4 years within the Oil & Gas industry

โœ” At least 1 year in a supervisory, lead, or oversight role

โœ” Experience managing EPC contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and service providers

โœ” Previous experience on major LNG projects is highly preferred

โœ” Experience with LNG and sour gas materials selection and corrosion prevention programs

โœ” Previous Qatar project experience is highly desirable
