Job Title: Engineering Technician II
Location: Orlando, FL (Onsite)
Duration: 6 months
Rate: $30 per hour
Overview
Engineering Technician II provides technical support to the mechanical engineering function by reviewing documentation, coordinating with suppliers, and assisting engineers with a variety of project‑related tasks. This role supports drafting, technical specifications, document control, and engineering workflow processes. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, collaborative, and experienced in handling technical documentation within a structured engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Review supplier submittals, primarily related to spare parts, drawings, and parts lists.
  • Update, refine, and maintain technical specifications.
  • Create and track 3D modeling instruction documents (D‑Specs) for drafting teams.
  • Review internal and external engineering documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist engineers with overflow tasks, data organization, and document preparation.
  • Collaborate with procurement, suppliers, and cross‑functional internal teams.
  • Support general department activities and provide administrative or technical assistance as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with established engineering processes and document control standards.
Qualifications
  • Associate degree, technical diploma, or equivalent technical training.
  • 3–5 years of experience in a technical or engineering support role.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and verify engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within global, cross‑functional project teams.
  • Comfortable coordinating with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Experience with document control processes or 3D modeling instruction workflows is a plus.
