Position Title: Environmental Engineering Analyst
The Environmental Engineering Analyst supports Gulf Coast Rockies. Environmental Compliance team by collecting, validating, managing, and reporting operational and environmental data needed for regulatory compliance and internal performance tracking. This position is responsible for QA/QC'ing the quality of operational data and providing insights to users through reports, visualizations, and dashboards. The role focuses on turning complex high-volume data into clear insights that help improve compliance and support regulatory reporting.

The Environmental Engineering Analyst supports Gulf Coast Rockies. Environmental Compliance team by collecting, validating, managing, and reporting operational and environmental data needed for regulatory compliance and internal performance tracking. This position is responsible for QA/QC'ing the quality of operational data and providing insights to users through reports, visualizations, and dashboards. The role focuses on turning complex high-volume data into clear insights that help improve compliance and support regulatory reporting.
Responsibilities
- Serves as lead in the development, configuration, implementation, management, maintenance, support, and administration of environmental data systems and processes, including but not limited to dashboards, data processing and analytics, reporting, and mobile tools.
- Develops standardized procedures for entering, managing, and removing data in the environmental data systems while maintaining a high degree of data quality.
· When required, provides training to team members regarding usage and maintenance of environmental data, systems, and tools.
- Conducts regular system checks and periodic audits of the environmental compliance data and other data tools to ensure data integrity and validation, user functionality, and the expected functionality exists to comply with environmental regulations.
- Collaborates with other internal data stakeholders to promote effective data sharing and integration.
- Gains an understanding of core environmental regulations and company reporting policies.
- Provides data and calculated emission values to environmental engineers on the GCR Environmental Compliance team to ensure regulatory recordkeeping and reporting.
- Supports team with other non-data related compliance tasks as needed (e.g., scheduling engine tests, LDAR surveys, spill cleanup support, etc.).

Required Skills & Experience
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Experience transforming complex data into actionable insights
- Must have experience with relational databases and other relevant data structures relevant to data governance such as warehousing, standardization, and integration
- Must possess effective analytical, problem solving, written and oral communication skills
- Strong knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, superiors, vendors, and regulators
Preferred Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering or computer science, or equivalent experience
- Exposure to SQL, Python, or similar languages.
· Experience working with Power BI or other data visualization software
· Experience working with Microsoft Copilot or other AI tools
· Experience improving data workflows or supporting data driven initiatives
- Understanding of HSE, engineering, maintenance, or field operations concepts
- Possesses an understanding of environmental regulations
- Possesses basic working knowledge of oil and gas exploration and production technologies, including production process and equipment
- Clear communication skills for both technical and nontechnical audiences
- Ability to work collaboratively across functions and levels
- 5 years of related experience
