Location: Northern Saskatchewan
Length: 6-Month contract to start
Rotation: 14/14
Description:
On behalf of the client, we are seeking an Environmental Monitoring Technician to support onsite environmental compliance monitoring activities in Northern Saskatchewan. Reporting to the Environmental Coordinator, the successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring environmental monitoring programs are executed safely, accurately, and in accordance with regulatory requirements.

On behalf of the client, we are seeking an Environmental Monitoring Technician to support onsite environmental compliance monitoring activities in Northern Saskatchewan. Reporting to the Environmental Coordinator, the successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring environmental monitoring programs are executed safely, accurately, and in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Report directly to the Environmental Coordinator
- Perform environmental compliance monitoring activities onsite
- Conduct groundwater sampling and groundwater elevation monitoring
- Complete surface water sampling and high-volume air sampling
- Perform routine environmental inspections
- Prepare environmental samples for shipment and laboratory analysis
- Accurately enter field data into an environmental database
- Utilize GPS equipment and maps for navigation in remote field settings
Qualifications & Experience
- Previous experience in environmental monitoring or related field work
- Experience operating boats, ATVs, UTVs, and snowmobiles
- Proficient with GPS navigation and map reading
- Experience with field data entry and environmental databases
- Physically fit and capable of performing demanding outdoor work in varying weather conditions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
