Role Summary
Technician – Equipment is responsible for supporting the maintenance, inspection, testing, and certification of oilfield equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations. This entry-level position works under the guidance of experienced technicians and specialists to perform equipment inspections, maintenance activities, and quality checks in accordance with company standards, customer requirements, and relevant industry regulations.

Technician – Equipment is responsible for supporting the maintenance, inspection, testing, and certification of oilfield equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations. This entry-level position works under the guidance of experienced technicians and specialists to perform equipment inspections, maintenance activities, and quality checks in accordance with company standards, customer requirements, and relevant industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical assembly, maintenance, repair, and overhaul activities on equipment and tools.
- Assist with inspection, maintenance, testing, and certification of ARMO equipment.
- Conduct routine equipment inspections and operational checks to ensure readiness and compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Follow established procedures, work instructions, technical drawings, maintenance manuals, and parts lists.
- Use standard hand tools, measuring instruments, and gauging equipment accurately and effectively.
- Support equipment certification processes, documentation, and record-keeping activities.
- Identify, report, and document equipment defects, non-conformances, and potential safety concerns.
- Perform basic mathematical calculations and maintain accurate records using computer-based systems.
- Ensure all maintenance and inspection work is completed in accordance with quality requirements and operational standards.
- Demonstrate safe working practices and comply with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) policies, procedures, and applicable industry regulations.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to support daily operational requirements.
- Technical Diploma or Associate Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Technology, or a related technical field preferred; High School Certificate will also be considered.
- Minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience in industries such as oil & gas, aviation, military, automotive, manufacturing, or other mechanical maintenance environments.
- Basic mechanical aptitude with the ability to use standard workshop tools and equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, procedures, and engineering documentation.
- Basic understanding of measurement processes and inspection techniques.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications and documentation systems.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and commitment to safety.
- Willingness to be based at the Songkhla facility.
- Exposure to equipment inspection, maintenance, or certification activities.
- Familiarity with safety and quality management systems.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented operational environment.
- Willingness to learn and develop technical skills within the oilfield services industry.
