Job Title: External Affairs Officer
Reports To: Head of External Affairs
Employment Type: 12 months (renewable)
Location: BGC, Taguig (w/ frequent travel to sites)

Job Purpose
The External Affairs Officer supports the execution of the Company’s external affairs, stakeholder engagement, and communications strategies. The role focuses on media relations, government and regulatory coordination, corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives, and reputation management, particularly for project development and permitting activities.

Key Responsibilities

1. Stakeholder and Government Relations
  • Support engagement with national and local government agencies, regulators, and key public sector stakeholders relevant to project development and operations.
  • Assist in coordinating meetings, briefings, and official correspondence with government officials and regulatory bodies.
  • Monitor political, regulatory, and local issues that may impact company projects and provide timely inputs to the Head of External Affairs.

2. Media Relations and Corporate Communications
  • Assist in building and maintaining relationships with local and national media.
  • Support the preparation of press releases, media advisories, talking points, FAQs, and other communications materials
  • Coordinate media monitoring and prepare regular media reports and issue assessments.
  • Support crisis communications and issues management as required.
3. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
  • Assist in the development and implementation of CSR and community development initiatives aligned with company values and project needs.
  • Coordinate with partners, NGOs, LGUs, and community representatives on CSR programs and activities.
  • Support documentation, reporting, and evaluation of CSR initiatives
  • Internal Coordination and Reporting
  • Coordinate closely with Community Relations, Project Development, Legal, and other internal teams to ensure alignment of messaging and engagement activities.
  • Prepare briefing notes, presentations, and reports for management and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate records of engagements, commitments, and stakeholder interactions.
Other Duties
Perform other tasks related to external affairs and stakeholder engagement as may be assigned by management.
