Facility & Equipment Mechanic

Key Responsibilities & Qualifications

• Operate, inspect, troubleshoot, test, maintain, and repair production and mechanical equipment, including gas turbines, reciprocating compressors, gas dehydration systems, three-phase separators, treaters, pumps, transmission equipment, heavy equipment, and rolling stock in a safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible manner.
• Perform preventive maintenance (PM) activities on operating and standby equipment to ensure equipment reliability, operational readiness, and compliance with maintenance schedules.
• Collaborate closely with operations personnel and other maintenance crafts to execute maintenance projects, facility modifications, drill site improvements, and special assignments while supporting uninterrupted production operations.
• Identify equipment performance improvement opportunities, assist in resolving technical and safety issues, and communicate recommendations, maintenance concerns, and operational status updates to the Production Superintendent and Board Operator.
• Maintain accountability for assigned operating areas by effectively communicating daily operational goals, maintenance needs, equipment status, and corrective action requirements.
• Ensure compliance with company safety, environmental, and regulatory standards by promptly reporting spills, near misses, injuries, property damage, and other incidents, while actively participating in safety training, emergency response activities, and regulatory qualification programs.
• Support a culture of safety, teamwork, ownership, integrity, continuous improvement, and operational excellence through proactive engagement with employees, contractors, and leadership.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of facility maintenance experience within the oil and gas industry.
• Work on a rotational basis on the North Slope
• Strong knowledge of production equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.
• Experience working in a safety-sensitive environment with a commitment to environmental stewardship and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively coordinate with operations, maintenance personnel, and management.
• Commitment to maintaining required certifications, regulatory training, and Operator Qualifications (OQ) for pipeline-related tasks.
• Demonstrated reliability, accountability, punctuality, and follow-through on commitments.
