Position Summary
The Field Project Controls Engineer supports on‑site construction projects by providing cost control, forecasting, and performance analysis. This role works closely with construction teams, subcontractors, and home‑office stakeholders to ensure accurate cost tracking, proactive risk identification, and effective change management throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Track and reconcile subcontractor progress claims against actual costs incurred.
  • Prepare regular cost reports, forecasts, and management summaries for site and home‑office teams.
  • Identify and communicate cost risks, trends, and early‑warning indicators.
  • Support change orders, trends, and claims through accurate cost reporting and documentation.
  • Engage directly with construction teams and subcontractors to resolve cost and progress issues.
  • Apply earned value management principles and labor productivity analysis to support forecasting and performance evaluation.
  • Work independently while coordinating closely with site and home‑office project controls teams.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline, or equivalent field experience.
  • 5–8 years of project controls or cost engineering experience on construction projects.
  • 3–5 years of experience supporting active construction sites in a project controls or cost control role.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis).
  • Experience with cost management systems such as SAP and/or ECOsys.
  • Familiarity with scheduling tools including Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate, consistent cost data.
  • Comfortable working in a field/site environment and engaging directly with construction teams.
