Location: Australia (remote-based with extensive field work)

NES Fircroft has partnered with an established clean-energy technology provider who are seeking a Field Service Lead to oversee national field service operations while remaining hands-on in the field. This senior role blends technical leadership, customer engagement, and operational delivery across power electronics and energy storage systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage field service technicians, including scheduling, training, and performance
  • Oversee commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of power electronics and electrical systems
  • Act as escalation point for complex technical issues and service failures
  • Serve as the primary technical contact for customers and internal stakeholders
  • Drive service performance, safety compliance, and continuous improvement
  • Use CRM/CMMS systems to track service delivery and reporting
About You:
  • 6+ years’ experience in electrical systems, power electronics, or electro-mechanical environments
  • Proven experience leading technical teams or field operations
  • Strong customer focus with excellent communication skills
  • Highly organised and able to manage competing priorities
  • Comfortable with frequent domestic travel (up to ~70%)
Desirable:
  • Experience with high-voltage AC/DC systems
  • Exposure to energy storage, controls systems, or remote monitoring
  • Background in clean energy, industrial, or critical infrastructure sectors
