Field Service Technician
Location: Baileyville, ME
Duration: Approximately 4+ months
Rate: $34.50 per hour
Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable and hands-on Field Service Technician to support a temporary assignment. This role requires strong technical troubleshooting skills, effective communication, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in the field, performing maintenance and repair work, and ensuring high-quality service delivery.
Key Responsibilities
  • Travel to customer sites (typically 2 days per week) to perform service and maintenance
  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair pumps and chemical feed systems
  • Monitor and adjust chemical dosing to ensure proper operation
  • Assist with inventory management, including tracking and recording supply levels
  • Document service activities, technical issues, and parts used during each visit
  • Communicate findings, issues, and corrective actions clearly to internal stakeholders
  • Support preventative maintenance planning to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness
  • Diagnosing and resolving mechanical issues using strong problem-solving skills
  • Respond to occasional emergency service calls (may include nights, weekends, or holidays)
  • Build and maintain professional relationships while representing the organization in the field
Qualifications & Skills
  • Basic technical aptitude in mechanical, electrical, or plumbing systems
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 0–2 years of relevant technical or field service experience preferred
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record required
