Field Technician (Geology) | 8:6 FIFO | Immediate Start 

Roster: 8 Days On / 6 Days Off FIFO Perth WA
Start: Immediate

About the Role We are currently seeking a motivated Field Technician (Geology) to join a leading Tier 1 mining company on an 8:6 FIFO roster. This is a great opportunity for someone with at least 6 months’ experience looking to build their career in a high-performing mining environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist geologists with sampling, logging, and field data collection
  • Collect, label, and manage geological samples (RC and diamond drilling)
  • Support drilling programs and maintain data accuracy
  • Conduct sample preparation and core yard activities
  • Maintain field equipment and adhere to safety procedures
  • Daily escorts of team members through the Autonomous Operating Zone
  • Dispatch of sample bulka bags to offsite laboratories
  • Pre-Starts & maintenance of vehicles by ensuring thorough fault reporting and on-time vehicle delivery to the workshop.

About You
  • Previous Field Assistant experience in a similar field-based geology role
  • Current First Aid (essential)
  • 4WD certification (essential)
  • Valid driver’s licence
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in remote environments
  • Positive attitude and team-focused mindset
