Job Title: Graduate Environmental Scientist
Remuneration: circa $100k + package
About the Role:
Our client, and major Oil & Gas Operator, are seeking a recent graduate to join their Environment team. In this role you will work with experienced professionals, supporting operating sites.
This is a Perth based role with occasional site visits required.

About the Role:
Our client, and major Oil & Gas Operator, are seeking a recent graduate to join their Environment team. In this role you will work with experienced professionals, supporting operating sites.

Primary accountabilities are:
- Support the design, scope, implement and manage the strategic environmental science projects which support our business
- Support the business on technical environmental issues
- Communicate the approach and outcomes of our environmental science program, both internally and externally
- Support the engagement of science-based personnel from government-funded and academic institutions to support our understand and management of environmental impacts and risks
- Work closely with internal stakeholders and business groups to drive project outcomes
- Support the Biodiversity and Science Team annual sustainability reporting obligations (CSA, GRI and SD report)
Skills & Experience
- Bachelor of Science with Environmental focus (mandatory)
- Basic level of demonstrated environment management
- Entry level of knowledge on environmental impacts and risks associated with the oil and gas industry (and the evolving new energy business).
- Entry level of understanding of technical aspects of light and underwater noise emissions on marine fauna
- Understanding of biology and ecology of key species groups such as marine mammals and reptiles
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to drive a shared vison both internally and externally
- Ability to engage with external partners within Australia and internationally
- Entry level project management skills from the scoping stage to final project delivery
