PURPOSE
The Inventory Lead – GWS is responsible for leading and coordinating the day‑to‑day execution of inventory management activities in support of Global Well Services operations within the Global Solutions framework.
 
The role ensures inventory demand is planned, prioritised and delivered accurately and on time through disciplined execution of approved processes, systems and decision boundaries. Acting as the primary execution lead for GWS inventory, the role coordinates delivery teams and service providers, monitors performance, and identifies and routes exceptions to Global Excellence or nominated SMEs as required.

Reports: TBC (e.g. Inventory Analysts, Materials Coordinators)
 
RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
·       Lead and coordinate GWS inventory execution activities to meet agreed service levels, KPIs and operational priorities.
·       Plan, prioritise and sequence inventory work to support drilling, completions, well intervention and campaign activities.
·       Provide day‑to‑day direction and support to inventory delivery resources operating within Global Solutions.
·       Knowledge of financial processes that enable inventory control.
·       Act as the primary execution point for GWS inventory matters within defined decision boundaries.
·       Oversee day‑to‑day inventory management activities, ensuring alignment to approved workflows and standards.
·       Ensure accurate application of materials master data to support inventory control and demand fulfilment.
·       Ensure timely and accurate SAP ERP (MM) transactions are executed in accordance with approved procedures.
·       Monitor inventory levels, movements, and availability to support operational readiness and DIFOT performance.
·       Coordinate stock verification, cycle counts, and stock take in line with approved schedules.
·       Deliver inventory management activities in compliance with statutory, regulatory and HSEQ requirements.
·       Embed safe behaviours through adherence to approved materials handling, storage and transportation processes.
·       Identify and escalate safety or compliance issues outside defined controls or role authority.
·       Monitor execution performance, data quality and timeliness across GWS inventory activities.
·       Identify execution issues, risks or non‑conformances and initiate corrective actions within role authority.
·       Escalate non‑standard, high‑risk or judgement‑based exceptions to Global Excellence or nominated SMEs.
·       Provide regular inventory performance insights and operational reporting to stakeholders.
·       Liaise with GWS operations, planning, materials, warehousing, logistics and procurement teams to support inventory outcomes.
·       Coordinate with service providers and vendors to ensure inventory is managed, stored and delivered safely and on time.
·       Act as a key interface between Global Solutions delivery teams and GWS stakeholders.
·       Foster a continuous improvement culture focused on execution quality, efficiency and reliability.
 
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Education & Qualifications  
·       Degree qualification in Commerce or related business fields is desired by not essential. 

Technical Skills / Experience: 
·       Proven experience in inventory and materials management within operational or asset‑intensive environments.
·       Experience coordinating or leading delivery teams, including offshore or third‑party resources.
·       Strong working knowledge of SAP ERP (MM) and inventory execution processes.
·       Understanding of drilling, completions or well services operations (desirable).
·       Strong analytical, problem‑solving and execution monitoring skills.
·       Ability to manage competing priorities within defined delivery guardrails.
·       Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
·       Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain, Logistics or related discipline (desirable).
·       Knowledge of financial process that enables inventory control including provisioning.
