📅 Work Schedule: 6 Days per Week
⏰ Working Hours: 8-10 Hours per Day
Job Purpose
We are seeking an experienced Head of Engineering (Studies) to support the Restoration Project in Qatar. The successful candidate will lead and oversee all engineering studies required for project execution, ensuring alignment between stakeholders, engineering contractors, licensors, and operations teams while maintaining compliance with project requirements and schedules.
Key Responsibilities
✅ Lead and oversee all engineering studies, design activities, quality assurance, and technical deliverables.
✅ Manage engineering scope development and provide recommendations to optimize project execution schedules.
✅ Coordinate closely with PMT Engineering Teams and Engineering Division Management to ensure project objectives are achieved.
✅ Ensure compliance with company's standards, project procedures, and engineering requirements.
✅ Support technical bid evaluations and assess engineering contractor capabilities.
✅ Monitor engineering progress, reporting, schedule milestones, and implement recovery plans where necessary.
✅ Facilitate change management processes and ensure lessons learned are captured and shared across project teams.
✅ Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering contractors and third-party consultants.
Requirements
🎓 Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering
Experience
✔ Minimum 10 years of engineering experience, including at least 6 years in senior engineering roles on major oil & gas capital projects.
✔ Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience or oversight of contractors, subcontractors, vendors, and service providers.
✔ Proven experience managing engineering studies and delivering complex project scopes.
✔ Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to work effectively across multicultural environments.
Skills
✔ Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
✔ Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
✔ Advanced computer literacy and experience with engineering and project management applications.
✔ Knowledge of document control and information management processes.
