Position - Head of Technical Training
Location - Oman , Muscat
Start Date - September 2026
Duration - 12 months renewable contract
Key Responsibilities
• Conduct Technical Training Needs Analysis (TNA)
• Develop, implement, and maintain technical training programs, including detailed training syllabi and course structures
• Ensure all training programs meet regulatory and compliance requirements and align with industry best practices
• Manage and continuously review training programs to ensure adherence to LNG regulations and operational standards
• Develop and implement training policies and procedures
• Prepare training manuals and deliver approved technical training courses for engineering and maintenance personnel
• Plan and manage short and long-term training schedules, resources, and budgets
• Establish KPIs and monitor training effectiveness and performance metrics
• Maintain and update training materials to ensure alignment with operational requirements
• Ensure availability and accessibility of training documentation for all stakeholders
• Assess trainee performance and maintain training records
• Liaise with external authorities for training approvals and with external training providers
• Ensure adequate availability of qualified instructors, assessors, and examiners
• Develop competency frameworks and oversee competency-based training systems
• Manage training-related contracts, including scope development and lifecycle administration
• Promote HSE culture and ensure compliance with HSE regulations and training requirements
• Support competency development initiatives including coaching, mentoring, and succession planning
• Develop and implement on-the-job training (OJT) frameworks
• Ensure compliance with company policies and perform additional duties as required
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or relevant discipline (Master’s preferred)
• OPITO Certified Assessor
• Training of Trainers (TOT) certification
• 10–12+ years of LNG industry experience, including at least 5 years in technical training
• Experience in engineering training, assessment, and examination
• Strong knowledge of technical training standards and regulatory requirements
• Proven ability to develop and manage competency frameworks and training systems
• Experience working with cross-functional teams in operational environments
• Strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring capabilities
• Excellent communication and analytical skills
• Fluent in written and spoken English
