HSE Engineer - Construction Industry - Hsinchu

About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced HSE Specialist to join our team and ensure the safety, compliance, and well-being of our construction site operations in Taiwan. This role requires strong knowledge of Taiwan’s HSE regulations and proven ability to manage site safety effectively.


Key Responsibilities

• Conduct regular safety inspections and audits on construction sites.
• Ensure compliance with local HSE regulations and company standards.
• Develop and implement safety plans, procedures, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Perform hazard identification, risk assessments, and control measures.
• Deliver safety training and awareness programs for site personnel.
• Investigate and report incidents, accidents, and near misses.
• Liaise with local authorities and labor inspection agencies.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation for occupational health and safety activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or certification in Occupational Health & Safety or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of HSE supervisory experience, preferably in construction.
• Strong knowledge of Taiwan HSE regulations and standards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Valid HSE management certification (Class B Occupational Safety and Health Management Technician or equivalent).
• English proficiency (TOEIC score of 500 or above).
• Willingness to work night shifts.

Preferred Experience

• Background in mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation work.
• Experience in commissioning activities (including pre-commissioning and functional testing).
