NES Fircroft has partnered with a global energy technology organisation that delivers innovative solutions across oil and gas, energy and industrial sectors. We are seeking an experienced HSE Specialist to join a Brisbane based operation where Health, Safety and Environment is a genuine priority.
This role offers the opportunity to make a real impact by supporting a mature HSE culture and helping evolve modern risk management practices aligned with Safety 2.0 principles.
This role will commence on a 12 month initial contract, working in Brisbane CBD, Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities
You are a proactive and hands on HSE professional who is comfortable working independently while influencing at all levels of the organisation. You bring strong communication skills and a practical, people focused approach to safety.

Key Responsibilities
- Partner with frontline teams and leadership to drive HSE excellence across the business
- Coach and mentor supervisors and managers to strengthen HSE leadership, culture and accountability
- Collaborate with local and regional HSE teams and subject matter experts on risks associated with oil and gas supply base and field operations
- Support and participate in emergency response arrangements, including development, maintenance and training of emergency procedures
- Develop and deliver HSE awareness initiatives and workforce engagement programmes
- Maintain a strong focus on health related aspects of HSE, including mental health promotion and wellbeing initiatives
You are a proactive and hands on HSE professional who is comfortable working independently while influencing at all levels of the organisation. You bring strong communication skills and a practical, people focused approach to safety.
Qualifications and Experience
- NEBOSH, Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety, or equivalent, or
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college
- Minimum 5 to 10 years’ experience in an HSE focused role
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
