Job Title: IAM Test Lead
Location: Calgary, AB
Length: 4 Months (with potential extension)
Rotation: Monday - Friday (remote)
Role Summary
The Test Lead is responsible for planning, coordinating, and governing all testing activities for the company's Identity and Access Management (IAM) Identity Governance enhancement program. The role will ensure that Identity Governance, access lifecycle management, provisioning, certification, segregation of duties, and compliance capabilities are delivered with the required level of quality, security, auditability, and operational readiness.
Working closely with Business Leads, Technical Leads, Solution Architects, Cybersecurity, SailPoint implementation partners, Workday, ServiceNow, Entra ID, Active Directory, and application owners, the Test Lead will establish and execute a comprehensive testing strategy aligned with company Project Delivery Methodology (PDM) and Testing Centre of Excellence (TCoE) standards.

Key Responsibilities
Test Strategy & Planning
- Develop and maintain the overall test strategy, test plan, test schedules, and quality gates for the IAM Identity Governance program.
- Define testing scope, entry and exit criteria, defect management processes, environments, and resource requirements.
- Ensure testing activities comply with company PDM and TCoE governance requirements.
- Coordinate System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Regression Testing, Performance Testing, Security Testing, and Go-Live Validation.
Identity Governance Testing
- Validate identity lifecycle management processes (Joiner, Mover, Leaver).
- Test automated provisioning and deprovisioning workflows.
- Verify birthright access provisioning and role assignments.
- Validate Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and birthright roles.
- Test access request and approval workflows.
- Coordinate access certification and recertification campaign testing.
- Validate Segregation of Duties (SoD) controls.
- Test privileged access management integrations.
- Validate contractor and third-party identity management processes.
- Verify audit, compliance, and reporting capabilities.
- Ensure access governance workflows function effectively across employees and contingent workers.
Integration Testing
Coordinate testing activities across key IAM integrations including:
- SailPoint ISC / IdentityNow
- Microsoft Entra ID
- Active Directory
- Workday
- ServiceNow
- Microsoft Sentinel
- Enterprise applications and connected systems
- Ensure end-to-end business process validation across all integrated platforms.
Test Execution Management
- Manage daily testing activities and testing resources.
- Facilitate defect triage meetings and prioritize defect resolution.
- Monitor testing progress against schedule and quality targets.
- Provide daily and weekly testing status reports to project leadership.
- Maintain testing dashboards, metrics, and reporting within Azure DevOps.
- Ensure all test evidence and artifacts are captured and retained for audit purposes.
Quality & Risk Management
- Identify testing risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Assess business readiness and quality risks prior to deployment.
- Ensure critical IAM controls are thoroughly validated before production release.
- Support audits, compliance reviews, and governance checkpoints.
Stakeholder Management
- Partner with Cybersecurity, Infrastructure, HR, Service Management, Compliance, Internal Audit, and business stakeholders.
- Coordinate UAT planning and business participation.
- Provide clear communication of quality status, risks, and go-live readiness.
- Support steering committee and project governance reporting as required.

Role Scope
- Own testing governance and quality assurance activities for the IAM Identity Governance program.
- Ensure testing processes align with regulatory, audit, cybersecurity, and operational requirements.
- Coordinate multiple testing streams and stakeholders across business and technology teams.
- Provide leadership on testing best practices, defect management, and quality controls.
- Support project governance, deployment readiness, and production transition activities.
- Ensure all testing deliverables are completed on schedule and meet established quality standards.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of testing and quality assurance experience.
- 3+ years leading enterprise testing initiatives.
- Experience delivering IAM, IGA, or Cybersecurity programs.
- Hands-on experience with SailPoint IdentityNow / Identity Security Cloud preferred.
- Experience testing Workday, ServiceNow, Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, or similar identity platforms.
- Experience managing SIT, UAT, and production readiness activities.
- Strong Azure DevOps testing and defect management experience.
- Experience working within regulated or audit-focused environments.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
Preferred Certifications
- ISTQB Test Manager
- Certified Identity and Access Manager (CIAM)
- SailPoint Identity Security Certification
- Microsoft Identity and Access Certifications
- PMP, PMI-ACP, or equivalent project delivery certification

- Successful completion of SIT and UAT within approved timelines.
- Minimal defect leakage prior to production deployment.
- 100% traceability between requirements, test cases, defects, and evidence.
- Successful validation of identity governance controls and compliance requirements.
- Business and technical stakeholder sign-off achieved.
- Audit-ready testing artifacts and deployment readiness confirmation.
Working Conditions
- Hybrid office environment with collaboration across business and technology teams.
- Participation in testing events, deployment activities, and project governance meetings.
- Occasional after-hours support may be required during critical testing cycles, cutovers, and production releases.
